JEREL MARIO RICHARD
was born to the Union of Benjamin Tracy Kind and Venus Demilo Kind on June 27, 1986 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the eldest of five siblings which include his brother Benjamin, his three sisters Quintina, Larika and Unique. He received his formal education in North Carolina and graduated from Johnston High School in 2003. Jerel worked as a valet parking attendant at KU Medical Center. Some know him as PEANUT, REL, or GRAND. If you knew REL, you would know he was compassionate about his children and relationships. He loved children and children were naturally drawn to him. In this aspect, he is much like his father who love all his children including yours.
JEREL developed his faith in Jehovah God at a young age. His faith grew stronger as he became a young man. He is known for his generosity, love and kindness. When Jerel turned 20 years old, he was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Despite this unfortunate plague, he maintained a simple life and developed unique relationships with all he came in contact with. Love was much more than a word to him. When he loved you – you would feel it. He had a laugh and smile so genuine that you could not help but to do the same. So as we remember JEREL, a son, father, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend and so much more. We will cry tears of joy to have known him. Smile for the memories we’ve shared and embrace one another as we honor him. Most of all remember to have FAITH, HOPE, LOVE. The greatest of these is LOVE. 1 Corinthians 13:13.
JEREL is survived by his two children Damonte Jerel Williams, age 12, and Harland EuJean Lewis, age 7, both from Kansas City, Missouri. Proud Parents: Benjamin Tracy Kind, Sr. and Venus Demilo Kind.
